Glaucoma is a name given to a group of eye diseases that cause irreversible loss of vision due to damage to the optic nerve. This loss of sight is usually gradual and can go unnoticed until a considerable amount of peripheral vision is lost resulting in 50% of people with glaucoma not realising they have it.

Glaucoma is usually caused by an increase in intraocular pressure (fluid pressure inside the eye) which can cause damage to the optic nerve. The level of pressure resulting in this damage varies from person to person (people with high pressure may not have glaucoma and people with normal pressure may have glaucoma).

Intraocular pressure is caused by a clear fluid called aqueous humor (This fluid nourishes the eye and holds the eye in shape) not being drained efficiently due to damage to the anterior chamber angle (drainage angle).

You are 10 times more at risk of developing glaucoma if a direct relative has it.

While in most cases the effects are gradual and go unnoticed, in some cases of glaucoma, you can experience:
- Severe eye pain
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Headaches
- Watery Eyes
- Sudden onset of blurred vision
- Seeing halos around light

This remedy can assist with those symptoms along with:
